> Mercury Partners is a San Diego-based principal investment firm, founded in 1996 and led by Founding Partner Brad de Koning. It invests its own permanent capital in founder-owned business services and healthcare services companies in the United States.

Mercury Partners is not a traditional private equity fund. It invests its own capital, has no fund life or forced exit timeline, and can own businesses indefinitely. Brad de Koning has been both a private equity investor and CEO of two lower middle market companies, most recently DirectMed Imaging, which Mercury acquired in 2017 and grew through organic initiatives and seven add-on acquisitions.
